    I am a bit confused.

    After the timer (for using a Continue) runs out, the game displays a different high score (see below):

    Was 62,200 the previous high score?

    Im not sure why the game displays a lesser score afterwards. It also did it in Garretts submission.

    Was 62,200 the previous high score?

    This is merely conjecture, albeit based on experience, but it appears that the devs eliminated the lowest byte (of the 3 that stores the score), and used only the higher 2 bytes to display the Highest Score, likely to save space(?).

    For the layman: The two right-most digits of the score are always changed to zero on the "Highest Score" display.

    Yes, I have observed the same behavior in all 3 TGSAP submissions.
