    Agreed.

Ah, the "speedrunning" word. Another interpretation required! Here at Twin Galaxies speed running abides by the Global Rules and the track rules except under the "--Speedruns" platform where it abides by the "anything goes" interpretation of the wider speed running community... Which almost nobody here actually uses. :P
OK, yh, so far I thought of TG as a speedrunning website alltogether. That's not really the case when the final score is measured in points. On the other hand as soon as the score is measured solely in time like it is for all TM submissions and many other games I reckon it's basically the same as speedrunning from what I can tell. Maybe I'm wrong but it feels that way. This is why we need the distinction here between what is and isn't allowed.

If we can't make the definition here I will resort to putting my submissions here and see if people think it's valid or not like I did until now. I'd really like to do it differently, because that's costly in terms of time spent and effort made, aswell as using those SP to create new tracks where it's allowed. :(

But for now, as it seems to be the main consensus I'll vote no aswell and redo it.

Actually, rereading the messages from earlier it seems people driving these TM tracks are rather agreeing with my view. @Fordy @JTT_Defender @Barthax

So I'll just unvote entirely and let you guys decide.

How many more have used some these glitches for PC - TrackMania Nations [ESWC 2007]
Hopefully not many were accepted. I am going to review,

I think it would be best if admin staff amend these to allow or create new tracks.

Start a wall post and Explain to Twin Galaxies members what these glitches TACTICS, STRATEGETIES on TrackMania Nations are so they can better understand them when they adjudicate these video game submissions in the future.

Yeah I'm going to vote no on this one. I thought by glitch something weird like bouncing off a wall while maintaining the speed was occurring, but the glitch was basically a shortcut that I'd argue goes against the rules. Racing game designers generally intend for you to drive on the track, not move through walls like you're Kitty Pryde.

While one track is costly, it is just SP for one track per TM game. We'll be able to create any number of "glitch permitted" tracks for 0 SP once we have the first one created. :)
Lots of 1sts to be surpassed: what are you waiting for? Play the game, submit the score...

Sounds like a good idea, but I probably won't do that today anymore.

Yh, I can see that, generally speaking that's true, but that's not really the case for TM anyway. There are tracks where you're supposed to go offroad, on scenery, bouncing off water and use physically impossible stuff even in these Campaign tracks. That's not even going into the official platform, stunt and puzzle campaigns from e.g. TrackMania United Forever. Let alone going into community tracks where many maps can only be finished by doing stuff like this, or rather way crazier stuff than this.
Still perfectly understandable and valid point you're making.

Oh, ok, I didn't know that. Makes the whole SP thing negligible, but it would still be annoying to deal with this from time to time ^^

I get that TG is different from TrackMania but TG is a generic site, not specialist so it's not as forgiving if things aren't outlined in the rules as explicitly permitted. Thankfully, it's up and the creators are those that believe TG should honour the amazing feats that the TrackMania are capable of finding. :D https://www.twingalaxies.com/game/tr.../1?ref=fbshare

Briefly: if you know of another track in the ESWC version which has similar "glitch" stuff, you can create a new track very easily:

    * TG Records > Create A Leaderboard (let the form load)
    * Tick the box "I am a track founder"
    * Drop-down the new "Created Track" list and choose the "Advanced Training - E-0 - Glitches permitted [Time]" entry.
    * Adjust the description to the new track name.
    * Click Submit: you have another ESWC track for free which explicitly permits glitches :)
Lots of 1sts to be surpassed: what are you waiting for? Play the game, submit the score...

There is a Crazy Taxi track variation that allows a barrier burst. It's done by hitting a wall and popping out on the other side of the solid wall. I only sent Robert M the video of it to show the glitch. He then wrote it into the rules on JUST that track and allowed my time. I literally sent it as an example of an invalid technique. He made it a WR. LOL. Just put it in the rules and you are good to go. BTW, that was over 20 years ago.
If you need me, I'll be on the 7th floor. No Mames. No steering wheels.
