If it's not too much trouble to find/set up, you oughtta check out a TI-99 EMU, and play "Car Wars", it's really similar to this.
First got my TI99, it was one of the games I did pretty well on, way outscored previous attempts, but then I got Greg interested, haha, and he handed me my ass!
    :)
Ya, and the DECO Cassette stuff, I'm pretty serious about that, for you-the only real "competition" was in fun, and several of the games just accidentally bring a smile to your face, yur really working on the happiness, I can tell, and good, great for you.
    Droplets of yes and no

    NOTE:

    - The original ROM images for Crash (c) 1979 Exidy have been made available for free, non-commercial use. Authorization from H.R. Kaufmann, president of Xidy.

    WIP:

    - 29th December 2019: Mr. Do - UDb23 finished cleaning up the bezel for Exidy's Crash, which was scanned by TrevEB. Thank you to Comboman for noticing the Bertolino version available at The Dragon's Lair Project. That version has now been added, thanks to vectorization by Spinnhacker. The bezel for Smash, which was previously in the Crash artwork set, has now been moved to its own artwork set.

    - 0.201: Joe Magiera and Toby Bermann added clone Crash (alt).

    - 7th August 2018: Smitdogg - Joe Magiera dumped an alt revision of Exidy's Crash.

    - 0.141u3: Added 2x 'Unknown' dipswitch.

    - 2nd August 2010: Mr. Do - TrevEB had sent me a scan of the bezel for Smash (Crash clone). This is now complete.

    - 0.136u4: Trevor Brown added clone Smash (Crash bootleg).

    - 17th January 2010: Smitdogg - Smash was rescued from a shed somewhere in Idaho. The PCB is Exidy's Circus and the Circus roms were still stored inside. Soldered to the board was what must have been an upgrade kit. The only noticeable difference is the "Exidy" name has been deleted from the start screen. Artwork has been scanned as well.

    - 0.129: MooglyGuy added savestate support to Crash.

    - 0.111u5: Mr. Do added built-in overlay layout for Crash.

    - 0.94u2: Derrick Renaud added sample support to Crash. Samples not currently recorded. Added discrete simulation for beeper. Also fixed crash in Crash. Replaced DAC with Discrete and Samples sound (crash.wav).

    - 0.36b4: Changed VSync to 57Hz.

    - 0.35b6: Changed palettesize from 6 to 2 colors.

    - 0.31: Mike Coates added 'Crash' (Exidy 1979).

    - 0.204: Eliminated unnecessary address space argument from handlers (audio\circus.cpp) [AJR].

    - 0.142u3: Angelo Salese removed deprecat.h dependancy and updated irqs accordingly for Circus driver.

    - 0.135u2: Fabio Priuli added driver data structs to the Circus driver.

    - 0.131u1: MooglyGuy merged memory maps in the Circus driver.

    - 0.111u5: Added layout\crash.lay.

    - 0.106u10: Added layout\circus.lay.

    - 0.94u2: Added sndhrdw\circus.c and includes\circus.h.

    - 12th May 2002: Acho A. Tang - General: Fixed red and white hue and removed dirty flags. Ripcord: Rewrote video driver, fixed gameplay, flipped control and tuned dipswitches. Thanks gregf for introducing these cool classics.

    - 9th March 1999: MAB changed overlay support to use artwork functions.

    - 0.31: Removed sndhrdw\circus.c.

    - 0.30: Added circus.c driver, vidhrdw\circus.c and sndhrdw\circus.c.
