if you play vectrex

wall posts get more visiblity but forum posts last longer. I wanted to know which vectrex games are most worth still competing on, rather than do the research and keep it to myself i figured make it public, get help, give help. please add your input here https://www.twingalaxies.com/showthread.php/237216-Vectrex-competitiveness?p=1132515#post1132515

OK-Berzerk, tho flawed, is an extremely good port of the game, I usually don't like it, but the Vectrex does it justice.

Actually-after you figure out how to tap dance around the scoring glitch, that becomes part of the fun, "How far can I go before Berzerking the game".

Spike is kinda fun, kinda stupid, tbh.

Star Trek-good game, kinda tough to learn to play.

Hyperchase seems like something that should be on your "must play" list.

Solar Castle, Fun, Star Castle not so much, Star Hawk is good.

    BEDLAM!

That's the game, Bro. For sure. You'll LOVE it. Get that one. Just do.

Narzod is a great Game, and if you get a flashcart, Veccy Bird is hard to put down!!!

    :)

Bedlam, for real, just remembering, DEFINITELY my favorite Vectrex game-I don't have the overlay, but it looks awesome!

Haha, Rickster, I think, pointed out to me that I seemed to have made "Dunno" the permanent spelling for "I don't know", haha, and I am SURE that one is wrong, grammaticaly.

to your suggeston list, spike was the game we had as kids, the voice was something special. I do indeed wanna play it. but much like beauty and the beast on intellivision, i understand the reason to outlaw leeching, but games where you have to allow some accidental leeching just gives a bad feeling on where the line is. I'll likely just play spike for fun, not sure if i'll submit. i'm not bashing the rule writers on this one, games like that are tough to get good rules for. id probably just flat out allow leeching to avoid the problem of figuring out where the line is, but i'd also admit that creates its own issues. maybe a track that only tracks how many times you saved molly and ignores points? i dont know. not an easy problem to solve. but if i take my tg competitor hat off, and put my love video games hat on, its definitely my reason for owning the system

i enjoyed star castle in the arcade. it seems like one of those games that suck at first and get good when you're good -- which the opposite of good game design. they should hook you in at first, and then when you get too good get bored. also even though it looks like it gets bette rwhen you're good, its obviousy no discs of tron or q*berts qubes. so i get your point, but i hope to disagree. i liked the arcade and i cant imagine it was hard to port properly

Poco mentioned the game already, but I wanted to reiterate.. Not sure if anyone would still be competing on it, but 'Fortress of Narzod' is a must to at least play and enjoy. It's a total ACE.
