Dios Mios Gamecube Backups On Wii

I thought this would be better off in its own topic.

Since we had a Wii score played via USB loading accepted, what about Gamecube games loaded via an SD card or USB?

Details of Dios Mios here.

Let's say we allow Dios Mios.

Would Japanese and PAL games played on NTSC-U Wiis be allowed?

Manually timed speedruns may not be accepted

Score runs and in game timer runs should be fine.

I would say this would be allowed. Same thing I did, just for Gamecube games. As for Japanese and PAL...that's beyond my knowledge. No idea how those would run on an NTSC.

Basically removing the region lock on the Wii with a mod and then load the JP or PAL game like an NTSC game. I would think PAL keeps its slower speed.

Oh man, I hope this is allowed. I have my Wii filled with Gamecube games using Nintendon't. I'd be interested in some Ikaruga.

Japanese games are NTSC. PAL games will run according to the NTSC console, at 60hz.

There have been 2600 PAL games played on NTSC consoles score submissions over the years. Some games may look a bit "off", but they're running at 60hz, so there aren't any issues.
