Games to be Added (Wiki discussion) - track suggestions

Hi there

The research team has just been looking at the Games to be Added entry in the Wiki section.

Would any players like to suggest tracks that they'd like to see created for these titles? It would be great to get some discussion going.

A fair few of these are racing and music games, so in those cases, tracks would likely to follow the formula set by previous titles (eg fastest lap/race per circuit; most points for a specific music track). Rock Band 4 is almost limitless in the number of music tracks available for that (from what I understand). Any songs people would like to see in general, for example?

I played Just Cause 3 quite a bit when it first launched so I can get cracking on that. And Bayonetta is a classic, of course.

Fire away...

Thanks

SD

So we suggest the games and you make the rules? How does this work? What is the general timeline for when something gets added?

You know I have 100s of suggestion so are you sure about this? I don't want to suggest something and it never gets done.

Before even going to any of those, I'm thinking about if there should be more tracks for Smash Bros Ultimate. Would we want a track for high score in classic mode for each character to go along with the current overall classic mode high score?

Sounds like this should be looked at as a bonus rather than something to 'expect'. List any games you know need to be added on the wiki page, and if they decide to add them for us, then cool that we don't need to spend the points and time to do so.

All newer systems need games added I think and not all by the community either.

So many new games have so many different things to track, you would lose sp really fast creating everything.

  5. Desidious's Avatar

Why should I look at it as a bonus? If they are offering to do this then it should never be an "if" situation. Either do it or don't.

All I can say is the sp the users have can be used in many other ways for the economy if they aren't dumping 35 points for every track for every game.

The amount of untracked games that are very easy to track is staggering and is a huge task to undertake and mainly why I'm so frugal with what I have.

I asked to see if tracks could get made for the Yakuza series since there are so many different trackable games on just one of the Yakuza games and I was told that if the community was interested enough then it would be possible.

What is the magic number of folks that have to be interested to get a track made? Surely if just people were interested then they would be some kind of competition. Plus, this isn't a big community and the majority frequent the more retro side of gaming.

@Stephen Daultrey , is your team sure you want to do this? Sounds like you may be opening a can of worms by doing so and suddenly people expecting you do make all their tracks for them...

Is this where I request that the current Fast & Furious Super Cars entry be completely deleted and re-added correctly?

I actually expect some sort or guidelines and rules to how it is done instead of it being half assed whenever there is extra time they might add a track. Maybe have a queue so people will know there is some forward progress.

Trust me, I don't NEED anyone to do my work for me if you can tell by the Tracks Added leaderboard. I just want to make sure folks know where I stand when it comes to new tracks and I'm very serious about this part of TG.

Don't mistake my passion for something it isn't.

Well, one thing is to say you will do something and another completely different is to actually do it. This has been requested before, a list was made, approved by Dave Hawksett, rules were set and then nothing at all happened. I would search for that post, but I've already brought that up twice, Im not wasting my time on a third time, too busy playing Dreamcast.

Can we say this a little louder for the people in the back?

I will try my best to not get so riled up.

    1. If you say you want to do this then stick to it.

    2. Make guidelines for users to follow when suggesting tracks.

    3. Make a queue and update it as you work on it. (To prevent 1 user suggesting a load of tracks and someone gets left behind)

    4. Work with the community when you make rulesets for the tracks and don't just do what you think is right.

    5. Communicate consistently.

Anything else? If we all work together and communicate properly then this will work out very well.

one place to start is look for things that used to be tracked that suddenly went missing. try to reinstate the destroyed scores as well. there are historical tracks that were added for a reason and rules well considered, people who submitted and liked the rules, andpoof, all gone. now that would be a great reserach project to recover those missing scores and tracks.

    I.Q. Final - NTSC - PS1

    Points

Rules: Default settings (Start from Stage 1, Normal Speed, Character = Abel). If you qualify for the Tektonics stage, as the score is reset, the submitted score must be the one displayed at the end of the Final stage after the addition of the stage bonus - Tektonics scores are not added on.

    ----------

    I.Q Remix+: Intelligent Qube - PS2

    Points

Rules: Must start new game, no second player joining in, no continues.

Note: It only released in Japan so no need for NTSC/PAL gubbins. There's also no settings to change

Since these are the first suggestions in this thread, and I'm as English as TG Research, I suggest I get priority and you do these before looking at track suggestions provided by these snow covered Americans. I'm sure they'll understand, they're big on jingoism :-p

I'm sorry, those games aren't on the "Games to be Added" wiki page, so they're disqualified as requests. :)

Eh a lot of people look for special treatment for whatever connection they think they have to admin. Remember the old days here of one rule for refs and friends but another rule for everyone else. I have faith the new tg sees where special treatment leads and won’t repeat the mistakes of past

My only suggestion to the Rockband tracks you mention. Please don't track every difficulty. There is a risk -reward factor when it comes to choosing a harder difficulty can yield more points.

    Please make it any difficulty.

I agree here. For Rock Band 4, for example, I'd say get the track listing in the game, then make 4 tracks per song - guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. And I'd say tracks for co-op on the songs - more than one player - shouldn't be made until TG gets around to fixing how co-op scores are handled.

So now that TG Admins/Staff can create/willing to create new tracks...

Will #1 rankings be considered a tally for the "TG WR" or "Other records" ?

Afterall, like other track creators among myself, I was more than happy to finish up (continue off) Rockband and Gran Turismo tracks what the referees didnt complete via Pre- TGSAP .

The referee created ones (#1 ranked) are of course credited for the "TG WR" count, while the "gamer created ones" STILL are NOT)

Did you know EVERY SINGLE #1 ranked score in the Playstation 4 , Wii U, and XBox One platforms approved score falls under an "OTHER RECORD".

Yeah, yeah, i know I know...

    1) we are working on this...

    2) Hang on tight...

    3) Its on our priority list...

    4) please be patient...

    5) happening real soon...

9 months now, NOTHING is still done (AKA fixed as it once was) as promised...

    *end of rant
