PS5 & Xbox Series S/X

We have 2 or 3 (depending on how you look at it) major new systems that have launched and we don't have any representation of them here on TG. Having new systems ready to go at launch seems like something that would easy for TG to do, but every time something new launches it takes weeks to months to get any traction.

Keep in mind, you are preaching to a community that mostly uses an analogue switch to power on their system of choice.

    :D

Hah, I'm only teasing, and was actually just posting to be silly, but an actual thought...

I've seen so many "little things", "variables" come up in track creation-in the era of user track creation, I think that's best left to the people that know the specific games very well, which wouldn't be possible w/o some time on the games?

Not being intentionally contrary(You know yur Tops w/ me!), but just a thought.

I'm talking about just adding the systems themselves. Can't add tracks to a system that isn't even there!

I'm with you on this: games get bigger and more varied with each iteration and the best methods of tracking games are going to be different depending on who plays them.

Forza Horizon 4 was released and could be described as "Forza Horizon 3 with more content plus now with every race is set in four different seasons". FH4 is so varied that I had to figure out where to trim my own expectations of what TG could represent. A run in Winter will be unlikely to match anything in Summer & it took me some months before I finally decided to not represent seasons. I was recording in all weathers and keeping track of the seasons in my owns - all the while hoping @GibGirl would bite the bullet on that decision for me. :P I'm still expecting someone to come to TG with the idea that a Rewind-based approach is better for "the best times" (and they'd be correct) so I purposely left the door open for that in my wording on the Forza tracks I'd made. By example, @MyOwnWorstEnemy has made some Forza Motorsport 3 tracks which sit along side mine with his own interpretation of how that game should be tracked.

The new TrackMania is a humongous concept and it takes someone like @Pixe Sukola to zone in to supporting the breadth of the content in it. I expect once he takes a break, it'll feel insurmountable when he gets back to it.

Rodrigo Lopes began the tracks on Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia - probably the biggest potential single-game content on the scoreboard currently. Between us it is 2000+ tracks is still small by comporison to the whole game. I don't believe it would be healthy for someone to create that vision without already having the recorded content to post (and it's not healthy for me to stare at ~400 undocumented recordings - I've stopped playing because I can't keep up with my own recordings).

Then there's the DLC: it's an ancient concept but even "Season Passes" which used to guarantee all content is no longer a guarantee it's just "the first couple of years" of content. You can't second-guess rules for future content (Hill Climb Racing and Angry Birds rules have had to be revised as new content comes out).

Best to leave it to someone that wants to create a track and support the game they've enjoyed, IMO.
