Bounty Claimed for One Million Points on River Raid!

Barely one day after the $75 Bounty for one million points on River Raid for the Atari 2600 was issued, Garrett Holland got to work. While preparing for holiday visitors, Garrett did a final review of his console connections and video capture set-up and sat down to record a run for the ages. Settling his own lingering questions about maxing out the iconic Activision title, Garrett maneuvered his fighter jet for over three hours, pushing the game’s score to a display of six exclamation points and confirming the first publicly-available and non-tool assisted recording of one million points. With the formal adjudication and verification of his score on New Year’s Eve, Garrett secured the first bounty of 2019 and possibly one of the shortest-lived bounties in TG history.

RTM generously contributed $50 towards the $75 bounty, continuing his long history of supporting TG gaming achievements. And to further sweeten the achievement, Snowflake generously put forward $50 worth of prized classic console games for Garrett as well on top of the cash amount.

With another $75 Bounty at stake - this one for achieving a River Raid run in 3 hours and 15 minutes or less, there may be more to Garrett’s incredible story, so stayed tuned
