Xbox Executor 2 Modchip - Is this acceptable for submission

This is a link in TGSAP of my modded Xbox. You guys tell me if you think it would be acceptable to use for submitting runs. The games are all on the Xbox hard drive, I don't believe there is any. I'd like as much feedback on this because there are games I would to submit to but won't even bother if it's not going to be accepted...I'll accept my "Most obvious statement of the year award" trophy later this week.

HDD installed games definitely won't be suitable for manually-timed speed runs on the main scoreboard (could be suitable for speedruns in the "--Speed Runs" category where "anything goes") - the HDD very likely runs faster than the disc originals and therefore gives an unfair advantage.

As for anything else. The only thing I'll point tho is the wiki guidelines:

    https://www.twingalaxies.com/wiki_index.php?title=Policy:General-Gameplay-Global-Rules-and-Guidelines-for-all-Submissions

"Unless otherwise specified in a game leaderboard variation rule set, the general rule is that all games are to be played with original controllers, on original hardware, with original game software."

That, of course, gets overlooked often but it could be a reason to dispute an accepted score.

That is why I am asking. The Nintendo Wii is already being accepted using external harddrives, so that is definitely not original hardware. Plus it's not quite clear if it needs other software to run the games. My Xbox uses all original hardware it just has that mod chip to I'm assuming bypass something.

I would think games with end game timers and points would be ok to submit on. I'll have to double check, but were games not able to be put on the Xbox hard drive to be played without a mod chip installed? So why would playing from the hard drive from the Xbox for speed running not be allowed?

I'm not concerned about original hardware because that was thrown out the window years ago, and all the above mentioned I honestly don't know and am asking. I will look this up later. @Barthax I'm glad you're here, I know you have a lot of info regarding these things. Thanks!

An original Xbox never had an "install to HDD" option. Many games used the HDD but the game itself ran from the disc. If running from an installed HDD, it will be magnitudes quicker at loading than off the disc - noteworthy only for manually timed games.

Gotcha. Yes, I forgot these games has "load". So used to playing older consoles. Absolutely that would make a difference in manual timed runs I agree. Racing games and others should be okay then IMO since external storage devices are already being accepted. I guess I'll just have to submit a run and see what happens. Really half assed run anyway.
