Credibility error. Dinged twice for same missed vote

@admin staff , I got two votes incorrect because I am stubborn. However, I lost twice as much cred than I should have. I went back and checked the rest of my notifications for the day and these two submissions are my only incorrect votes. First notifications for both submissions came at the same time, then 8 minutes later I received the second pair of notifications, being dinged twice for the already calculated mistake. So much for Double Jeopardy.

These are the two submissions for reference.

I'm not worried about the CR being given back to me at all, just reporting that there is an error with the CR/Notification system somwhere.

Hi @thegamer1185 Thanks for pointing this out.

The notification system has issues . It sends the same notifications twice sometimes.

The CR system will not deduct the CR or SP twice . Even if it does the reconciliation service which runs at 5 am everyday will recalculate everything from the beginning and correctly award deduct CR .

I'll double check my CR tomorrow and let you know. Thanks for the quick response.

My CR did not self correct. I was just over 19,700 ish before the hit. Assuming the max CR loss is still 500, I should have went down to 18,700. My score remains at 17,700. Either the self correcting is not functioning correctly and/or the CR formula is using the notifications as its checks and balances which is why I still have a double punishment for both submissions.

CR loss is 5% of your total cred.

The standard penalty is 5% of your total CR.

    19,700 x 0.05 = 985 for a single incorrect vote.

why do you believe max cred hit is 500? a max hit would completley defeat the purpose of the percentage cred hit. at that pont all a percentage would do is slow down the climb as opposed to putting a cred cap based on accuracy

its definitley possible for me to miss things, but i do try to keep up pretty well with the sight, if a max cred hit was ever implemented can you provide a link to that being stated?

I could be wrong. I just remember awhile ago that 500 was the number that was talked about. I'm not going through the forums to find it. I thought there was a max hit being talked about at one point because people couldn't believe one wrong vote outweighed there all their positive voting. This was several years ago though when I think the blind voter talk was actually serious and what not. I'll take your guys word for it. I really don't care, just thought there was a bug in the system and letting the admin staff know about it. All good, hope you guys aren't going crazy being shut in and are being safe.

you're probably right, it was probably talked about or even requested by someone, i just dont think it was ever implemented

I lost over 1,000CR for one accepted sub that I voted no on, so there doesn't appear to be a max.

5% has been the penalty for years. However, it should not be 5% of current cred. It is supposed to be 5% of what you had when you voted.

That's just way to much to keep track of. Now if it worked properly every time, we could never have this conversation again.

i think it might even be slightly more complicated. something like 5% of what your cred was at the time i went through -- different between "went it went through" and "current" is relevant for when disputes affect your cred
