A heads up for you adjudicators

Just as well get this out of the way. I have already done this many times, they have all been accepted, so I'm doing it again...I am going to play PAL Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 on my NTSC Xbox that has the video software converter to run at PAL speeds. This has already been done on TW PGA Tour 03 for the Xbox, I'm going to be doing it again for 2004. People seemed to agree that timed runs (racing games, manual timed)should not be allowed unless a test is done showing the video software is 100% accurate, but score games are fine.

And let the **** show for me begin yet again...I sincerely hope not for once. I seem to have a knack for people letting me do things, then changing their minds and saying I can't do them again a year later.

I'll vote yes on those scores unless I see evidence that says Tiger Woods runs inaccurately when playing that way.

I guarantee they will run at the same speed those other TW 03 PAL submitted scores did. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

NTSC Xbox that has the video software converter to run at PAL speeds.

Can you elaborate what this is exactly? The "software converter" as I've not heard of this before.

Are you able to perform a test like this with a timer? (in game, not BIOS timer). If you can run this test and show side by side in sync timing between the NTSC and PAL variations of a game with an in game timer and they match up I'd love to vote yes on your submission if this is proven correct. I have a feeling it won't as PS2, PS1, SNES, NES so far all have the issue. As far as im aware everything apart from later HDMI consoles have these issues but I'd love to see evidence to prove otherwise.

Whatever you can get away with, that's the rule. I won't ever vote on it. Buy a PAL system or just don't submit to something you don't have the actual hardware for.

    I do agree.

Are you trolling me?! Every time I post about this **** you are immediately on it. Why aren't you barking up other peoples loading hard drives submissions? Tons of Nintendo Wii/Everdrive stuff you can go after. Kind of getting pretty god damn tired of it only happening to me at this point. I'm actually getting pissed off. I've already done this, over a year ago, on the same exact type of game, everything was accepted because it was already heavily discussed what people would allow and wouldn't. Why do I have to keep repeating that? Why are people changing their god damn minds on all my **** now?? Not one dispute. I'm not trying to get away with anything, it's all there. This has nothing to do with any timed anything, I'm swinging a golf club with a joy stick. Why does the time keep coming up??

    People agreed

    1. No timed runs of any kind would be allowed because the timer may not be exact...I agree with that.

    2. People were okay with point runs because the game play, if it was not exact, would not be noticed.

Here is the link, again...to me asking the XBOX modding community about the video converter and how accurate it was. I'm not doing any tests, I'm submitting the scores exactly like I did over a year ago. WTF is going on?! This only happens to me.

Then you clearly don't read anything I have ever posted or shown in a video, because I have absolutely described it many, many times. Or you are so stuck on needing to see a test you just don't care. Either way, I have absolutely wrote, talked, and displayed it many times on this website. No wonder I'm feeling targeted and like nothing I say is actually making any difference whatsoever...

No, I have read what you put and the only test i saw was you walk a certain distance over a time of 17 seconds. No where near long enough to notice the difference and distance travelled won't be effected, the time taken to get there will in FRAMES not times. You need to do it frame by frame like this:

No one is targeting you, you just happen to be doing submissions which this topic relates to. Yes there are everdrive submissions going on but they are not confirmed to be the incorrect region.

Regarding your post, that person is referring to 60hz and 50hz which yes, the Xbox is capable of. but the refresh rate does not completely dictate in game speed. My PS1 also runs at 30 fps and 60Hz which is NTSC spec but its not running the correct speed. My videos prove this.

Again, don't feel picked on, instead, help us.. prove me wrong and run tests as Xbox has not been tested yet but the way composite video trans-coding works (like the PS2 which has been tested and does not run correctly) i can almost guarantee it will run out of sync.

Happy to be proved wrong though, just need tests done exactly the same way i did mine.
