ATTENTION COMMUNITY:

We have discussed certain submission and rule concerns with Warner Bros., and they have opted to allow greater flexibility in submission requirements to prevent participants from needing to reupload lengthy performances.

As a general rule, Twin Galaxies discourages making adjustments to leaderboard criteria once performances have been adjudicated and posted on the leaderboard. This concern was brought up in our discussions; however, since this specific leaderboard pertains to a gaming challenge organized by Warner Bros., they retain the authority to decide if a performance should be validated under modified criteria.

For Twin Galaxies’ internal leaderboards—those that govern official world records—rule modifications post-submission are far more challenging to implement due to strict policies governing those records.

Please note that the recent rule changes by Warner Bros. are solely aimed at increasing submission inclusion rather than enforcing any form of disqualification or exclusion. Whether it is a sponsored bounty challenge or not, Twin Galaxies’ policy does not permit rule changes that would lead to the disqualification of previously adjudicated performances that adhered to the original rules.

The updated rule text is as follows:

Original rule text:
"Capture uninterrupted video of your entire session, from the game menu to your final match. The video must include game audio and show the ‘Recent Matches’ list from the ‘Career’ section of the game menu with final results that match the win streak."

Updated rule text:
"You must capture uninterrupted video of your entire session, from the game menu to your final match. It is highly recommended, but not required, that your video include in-game audio and display the ‘Recent Matches’ list from the ‘Career’ section of the game menu with final results that match the win streak. Following these recommendations can help adjudicators feel more confident in the overall legitimacy of your performance and expedite processing."

If you previously voted NO on any performance solely due to the absence of in-game audio or the lack of a 'Recent Matches' display, please revisit that submission and adjust your adjudication accordingly.

Is there to be a softening on accidental use of the Rematch button? There's one submission which utilises the Rematch (and wins) but the submitter did not include the rematch in the scoring tally.

Y'know, NOT being parsnickity-this DOES make wading thru the normal queue pretty tough-

I really think these would get more specific attention from some folks if they had their own sperate queue altogether.

Understanding, it's no different than anything else we do, but there ARE people who "only want to see that", and there are people who can't find enough interest to-I'd be on that list, but everyone can't like everything, and that's ok.

But ya, for all intents, it's "special", so it should have it's own special filtering, for quick access, beyond the game filter in the queue(I just saw my flaw, the system works fine for those that only want to see it...).

NBD, just a though, mebbe for the future.

There is a virtual queue for the Challenge submissions - on the Vote On Performances page under the "Game (Any)," you can select "Bounty Challenge" and filter those submissions exclusively. But upon re-reading your post, I think I misunderstood - it looks like you're proposing a way to filter out the Bounty submissions in the main queue, so yeah, a completely different queue would remove them from the main queue

There isn't an "anything but" option but you could try this (for those with a keyboard), Change the "Submission Info (All)" to "Not Voted". Click on the "Platform (Any)" drop-down and choose the first one: now only use they keyboard's cursor keys. Wait for the lit to reload: if nothing's interesting, press down for the next platform. Repeat.

I TOTALLY understand that some folks want to get in on it all, haha, there's nothing wrong with that-

But I DO imagine a lot of folks playing/subbing that have no interest in what else we are doing here, and are able to filter it out of "what they are dealing with".

Kinda seems unfair to force it on some regulars, who just aren't interested, in a "no offense" type way.

I swear, there's not really any "cranky" to my statements, just something of a proposal to help BOTH queues move along.

Ah-edit-

Keep in mind, this is coming from the perspective of someone who's scores have no problems going thru very quickly. Isn't a personal "need' on my part, for real, just pragmatism.

I would think that if they didnt include it in the score tally and are not trying to benefit from it, it would be ok. The point was to make sure they just dont play the same person over and over again to run up their score.

The more successful challenges we host, like this one with Warner Bros., the more opportunities open up for Twin Galaxies and its community.

The unique infrastructure that supports the Twin Galaxies platform and its community requires significant resources, and it’s essential for TG to keep finding ways to maintain and enhance these services. There's a direct link between community engagement and what TG can offer—both now and in the future. Many community members hope to see live competitions and other advancements, and I share that vision. However, Twin Galaxies' success depends on all of us; I can only do so much alone.

I understand everyone has their specific interests and priorities, but I encourage you to support our broader efforts when possible. Your involvement helps sustain a vibrant community and creates the foundation for future opportunities for everyone.

My 2 cents.

I agree, but it would be best to also update the rules to allow this.

Current Rules

4: Keep Winning

Defeat opponent after opponent. Each new match must be against a different player - no rematches allowed!

Possible Update to Rules

4: Keep Winning

Defeat opponent after opponent. Each new match must be against a different player - no rematches allowed! If a rematch does occur (victory or defeat), it will be skipped/ignored by the adjudicators in their evaluation for the final score as it is not a valid part of the submission but does not disrupt the overall performance.

The fact that you are making it my job to go find these subs I previously voted on based on the original rules or I lose cred is a load of horse S**T. Pure and simple. I am done doing the adjudicating for your Theceplay endeavor if this is how you are going to run it.

Sorry for repeating information you may already know, but you can filter "Bounty Challenge" under "Game (Any)" on the "Vote On Performances" screen, so you can quickly see all the Bounty Challenge submissions you voted on. While I don't want to say I'm 100% sure, these are the two submissions where the rule change affects the audio requirement. On the first submission, I can see that you commented in the thread so that one can be changed for sure.

As mentioned above: filters exist but take a little juggling to avoid the content you're not liking. I'm sure there's plenty of regulars that are now sick of the sight of Formula 1: Built To Win too or perhaps the Guitar Hero/Rock Band games and similar "overloads" from various games I submit to. Difference is, they're not making TG any money. ... and if you do stumble into some of those threads, have a peek at the comments - there may be a hint or two left behind by other peeps. ;)

I understand all of this and thanks for telling people, but the point is this:

I might NOT of come back to the site, and having voted based on the rules at the time, TG is willing to give me a cred hit when TG was the ones who changed the rules mid-voting.

I might NOT of read this notice, and having voted based on the rules at the time, TG is willing to give me a cred hit when TG was the ones who changed the rules mid-voting.

All of this is based on a TG change (which also should never ever happen since rules SHOULD not be changed mid-vote) and they are putting the onus on us to figure it all out. And this is after Jace comes on here and begs us to adjudicate these scores.

ask the community to adjucate. then $#C* over the adjudicators by changing the rules mid contest. Way to go WB and Twin Galaxies. Doesn't have the forward thinking to reset votes.

@swaggers totally agree with you. I got burned, cause I didn't visit the site for a few days. I wanted to help out and get more submissions approved for WB's bounty to help build TG future endeavors. So much for that. Maybe one day I can dispute.
