This just in from Logitech G:

We have uploaded an updated version of the challenge map that restricts the manipulation of:

host_timescale

weapon_accuracy_nospread

sv_accelerate

Twin Galaxies has not yet had the opportunity to verify that these changes work as intended, but we wanted to get this information to the community as quickly as possible.

Big kudos to Logitech G for reaching out to the developer of the Aim & Run map to help address concerns and support fair competition. This is a strong statement of Logitech's commitment to the gaming community and its dedication to elevating player achievement recognition.

If you have a moment, consider letting Logitech G know that you appreciate them taking this seriously. Support like this from a major brand can shape the future of gaming competitions—potentially leading to bigger prizes, more events, and a shift in how companies engage with players. Instead of just pushing ads, they’re actively creating meaningful ways for players to be recognized and rewarded.

For now, the new map modifications should update automatically for all players—no need to download anything manually. All competitors will now be using this version.

So what does that mean for the previous entries? Are they liable to be disputed because of the change? It'll ruin the credibility of those that voted in good faith with proper knowledge of the game.

Many thanks to Logitech G. I am troubled by how the map is changing mid-challenge though -- even if it is to reduce cheating.

According to the rule set, the lack of console settings shown cannot be the sole basis for a dispute for submissions submitted before 2/23/25. Not sure if that was what you were asking about, though.

It's great to see Logitech G actively supporting fair competition and engaging with the gaming community. Their collaboration on the Aim & Run map shows a real commitment to player recognition and integrity in esports. Moves like this can help shape the future of gaming events positively!

These are all things that are supposed to be off anyway in previous entries. Disputes were already happening to those performances that displayed the behavior of having those variables set improperly. So nothing has changed. All this change does is make sure that they cant be altered at all (in theory) in new incoming performances.

So many changes mid bounty feels weird… I see pros and cons of closing and opening this bounty again but that wouldn’t satisfy all of competitors.

I just wanted to make sure there was absolute clarification from Jace is all. Clarification to prevent people trying to dispute scores all willy-nilly. I'm not invested in this bounty specifically but thinking more about the community as a whole when the powers that be decide on big changes during a bounty that has quite a bit of participation.

I will note that every time this happens the mainstays here voice their displeasure on how quick tg is to act on these outside bounties versus how they act to requests from the folks that stick around and have stuck around. I think their displeasure is absolutely valid too by the way.

I know the Twin Galaxies community can be seen as toxic in a lot of ways but comparing it to the CS:GO community, we can't even hold a candle to that type of toxicity. I completely lost interest when I saw some CS player talking about what he wanted to do to a family member of someone else in our shout box. Not that I was heavily invested anyways but I did think about how quick I could get some extra SP from this. Oh well..
