Tagging and Categorizing Games in the Database!

Dear Community.

Twin Galaxies is pleased to announce that it has implemented the ability for the community to tag games in the database with genre type and other information.

Each game can have up tp 10 tags to help describe the type of game it may be.

Once all of the games have been properly tagged, TG will be able to then implement and improve SEARCH and other site functions related to the tagging and help make the database more accessible/easier to surface desired information...

While everyone who visits the TG site can view the tags, ONLY VERIFIED MEMBERS WITH A CR RATING OF AT LEAST 1100 CAN ADD/REMOVE TAGS.

This constraint is to limit potential abuse by new user accounts set up to deliberately try to harm the database.

Twin Galaxies hopes that the community is interested and willing to help tag all the games in the database with the relevant available tags, so that the database can become more useful for all!

Hopefully the community likes this addition.

If there are some tag categories that you feel should be added to the master list, please post your thoughts to this thread/wallpost.

Thank you!

-TG

All Right!!!! I got something to do on those visits to the bathroom!! Seriously, I think this is a good idea. Guess I'll hit up the GB, SNES, N64, NES era stuff since I know a lot of those games. Anything to make searching for games easier is okay by me. Nice work @admin staff

Adding a "Pinball" tag would be great. Also, the "Delete" tag function doesn't work. I accidentally put a tag in that doesn't belong, tried to remove it and the tag remains. I refreshed the page the tag remains. I went to "Add Tag" and clicked on it to deselect it and the tag remained.

Everything should be fixed. Please let us know if you find any other problems!

Hopefully the community will be able to tackle this huge task over time!

There's two Pinball tags to choose from now. :)

I'd like to see a Crowd Fighter tag, if that's not deemed too similar from "Beat 'em up".

Ingress and Pokemon Go are both Artificial Reality games.

There are many Pac-Man style games on the scoreboard but only "Action" seems to fit. Maze or Dot-Eater needed?
