The largest changes to the island that the title has seen are new points of interest that can be found around the map.
Floating island is likely the one that will stick out to the Fortnite community, as it is the result of the island in the middle of Loot Lake being thrusted above into the air. The floating island point of interest in the Season 6 map changes for Fortnite also has revealed the fate of the mysterious purple cube that melted into Loot Lake, as the cube was the source behind causing the floating island to appear.

Another set of changes that have been added to the map by Epic Games are the evolution of the rune spots that were left behind by the travels of Kevin the mysterious and infamous cube. The rune areas no longer are producing an anti-gravity field, but now are destroyed areas where players can now find the new shadow stone consumables.
