Star Call of Duty player Gunless knows the expectations are high for his Luminosity Gaming team to perform well at CWL Vegas 2018.

Pierce "Gunless" Hillman saw a great deal of success during the Call of Duty World League (CWL) season for Call of Duty: WWII where he was seen as the top player in the world of Call of Duty esports and secured two championships as a player for Rise Nation. However, Gunless now calls Luminosity Gaming home and is one of the five players that make up what many consider to be one of the most talented teams in the CWL for Black Ops 4 with Matthew "Formal" Piper, Josiah "Slacked" Berry, Johnathan "John" Perez and Nicholas "Classic" DiCostanzo.

Luminosity Gaming is currently competing at the opening tournament for the 2019 season in CWL Vegas and is a heavy favorite to take home the very first championship for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Twin Galaxies was able to sit down and chat with Gunless to get his thoughts on the expectations he sees for himself and his team regarding their performance at CWL Vegas 2018 compared to the first event of the Call of Duty: WWII season last year.

"There is definitely more added pressure," said Gunless. "With Echo Fox I still think we could have won if we had actually played our very best, but with this team I know that I have the best team possible that I could have made, so I know that I need to perform being on this team and have it showing in the results. There are no excuses after that. I actually have the very best team that I could have."

Luminosity was able to begin their CWL Vegas competition with a victory over Red Reserve that was driven by a very strong performance from Gunless. However, the rest of the Luminosity CWL roster is filled with plenty of other talented players that Gunless loves having on his team for CWL Vegas instead of playing against.

"I have played against Formal and John in multiple years, and those two players themselves have always annoyed me. Classic and Josiah (Slacked) don't get a lot of love, but they are actually like the Mr. do it all. They'll do something even if it will mean that they will die and have a really bad K/D (kill to death ratio). They don't really care about that stuff," Gunless told Twin Galaxies. "They only care about getting the win and want to make sure that we are doing things correctly, so that definitely helps. Other than that me, Matt (Formal) and John were considered the top three players or in the top five players going into this game, so it is a lot of expectation that we have to live up to.

While Gunless has risen to become one of the top players in the world of Call of Duty esports in recent years, Formal has also been recognized as one of the top threats that teams could competition and has had multiple LAN battles with Gunless. Now Gunless can have his talent and the skill of Formal mix together to push Luminosity into being a Championship team for the 2019 CWL season for Black Ops 4 beginning with a chance at CWL Vegas.

"It is definitely nice. Matt has the same mindset as me and is a grinder like me, so I mean I couldn't ask for a better teammate."

Luminosity and Gunless expect nothing less than a championship at CWL Vegas.

Gunless and the rest of the Luminosity Call of Duty roster that he sees as the best possible team he could be a member of for the 2019 Black Ops 4 season will be looking to meet expectations and establish their place as the top team in the CWL with a strong showing at CWL Vegas.
