Cliff Bleszinski's Fortnite Competitor Radical Heights Now Live

The studio behind Lawbreakers and led by the man who was behind the highly successful Gears of War franchise, Cliff Bleszinski, Boss Key's newest free to title is now available to download on the Steam marketplace. Looking to claim a section of the insanely popular battle royale genre dominated by the likes of Fortnite, Player Unknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) and H1Z1, Radical Heights is giving the battle royale mode a twist with its 80's game show style and aesthetics.

Set in the year 2023, Radical Heights takes place in a futuristic 80's world where players compete in a batte royale game show for fame and prizes. With game show elements like spinning a wheel and picking a prize door, the 80's themed battle royale title will be incorporating elements into the popular genre that are not available in its competitors of Fortnite, PUBG and H1Z1.

Another new feature that has not been used in other titles in the battle royale genre is the the ability for players to collect in-game cash that is scattered throughout the map, available from the multiple game shows players can partake in and can be acquired from eliminating other players. This cash can be used to purchase weapons, gadgets and armor from vending machines. Each player will start out every match with $0, but you have the option of depositing your funds in an offshore bank account that you can pull from in future matches. However, you will be vulnerable to be killed by other players while you are extracting your saved funds.

If you are looking to spend some cash in order to deck out your character in some 80's style cosmetics, the Founder's Pack is available for $14.99 and will have you looking like Rambo while blasting away you opponents in the 80's style carnage.

Boss Key has stated that the game is in "X-TREME" Early Access and will be looking to the community to help guide the game's development towards a full release with feedback from players.

Only time will tell if the unique style of Radical Heights will allow it to compete with the giants of the battle royale genre.
