A Fortnite Battle Royale community member was able to comb through the title's Season 4 game files and discover the cinematic intro for the new season.
With Season 4 of Fortnite Battle Royale set to begin today, members of the community are anxiously awaiting for Epic Games to finish implementing the Season 4 update in order for them to begin enjoying all of the new content that awaits them in the new season of Fortnite. Some of this new content has already begun making its way around, as one reddit user posted the Season 4 login screen that has given us the first complete look at two of the skins that Epic Games has teased leading up to the beginning of the new season. In addition to the first look at two of the new skins coming to the popular battle royale game, another reddit user by the name of Thano9 has leaked the cinematic intro for Fortnite Season 4.
The trailer begins with a Rust Lord character watching an old movie at a drive in theater, but his show is quickly ruined by the highly anticipated arrival of the meteor that players have been extremely curious about regarding where it will land and what kind of destruction it will cause. The trailer does not confirm the landing spot of the meteor, so players will have to wait until the servers are back up to see what area of Fortnite's map has been affected.
With the narrator of the trailer promising that the world of Fortnite will never be the same due to meteor finally landing, players can expect to see some major changes coming to Fortnite today and throughout the rest of the season that will dramatically change the map that the community has come to know and love through the first 3 seasons.
The Season 4 trailer ends with four characters walking upon the crater left by a meteor that has fallen from the sky and discover a glowing rock that could be hinting towards a new environmental element to the map, or possibly a new limited time mode to celebrate the beginning of Season 4 for Fortnite. Whatever the mysterious glowing rock will bring, it will no doubt be something that players of the battle royale game have never seen before.
