Imagine Dragons Invests in ReKTGlobal, Join Ownership of Rogue

Today, esports infrastructure company ReKTGlobal announced Imagine Dragons members Daniel Platzman and Wayne Sermon as investment partners of the organization that is best known for bridging the gap between the multi-million dollar business of traditional sports with the ever expanding esports industry. In addition to the two Imagine Dragons' members investment into ReKTGlobal, they also join fellow Grammy-nominated artist Steve Aoki as co-owners of Rogue, ReKTGlobal's Las Vegas based esports organization.

This is not the first time that Imagine Dragons have been involved with the world of esports, as the group wrote the song "Warriors" for the League of Legends World Championships back in 2014, where the band performed at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea in front 40,000 live audience members and 27 million online viewers.

"We love gaming and esports and have been looking for new ways to contribute to the community for a long time-but we never found the right fit until now," said Imagine Dragons Manager Mac Reynolds. "We expect to see esports continue its rapid growth internationally, and we think Rogue and ReKTGlobal are the partners who will help make our hometown of Las Vegas the premiere team and gaming event destination."

"We're excited to welcome the Imagine Dragons on board," said Amish Shah, Founder of ReKTGlobal. "Between the band and Steve Aoki, we're building a powerful group of euthusiastic brand ambassadors and leaders to help us as we continue to build the esports industry and create championship-winning franchises with Team Rogue."

With top teams competing in the H1Z1 Pro League, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), Rocket League, Vainglory, Rainbow Six Siege and having one of the most popular Fortnite Battle Royale streamers in Dr Lupo as a member of the organization, Rogue is one of the most successful organizations in the esports industry. Derek Nelson, Rogue CEO and Co-Founder, knows that Imagine Dragons will be a major factor in continuing the organization's success heading into the future.

"The Imagine Dragons team is going to be an important part of Rogue's future and the future of Las Vegas. As we continue to build championship-winning teams and build the city as the premiere destination for American esports, the influence of Imagine Dragons and Steve Aoki will be the driving force behind it," said Nelson.
