Fortnite Player Spotted in Lobby With Leaked Pickaxe and Emote
By Nicholas Barth ·
One Fortnite Battle Royale community member was able to capture a video showing a player sporting a leaked pickaxe and emote that have not yet been released in the player lobby before a match.
One of the major factors in the rise in popularity that Fortnite Battle Royale has seen over the past few months stems from the vast array of unique cosmetic items that Epic Games adds to the game on a weekly basis that allows players to customize their battle royale experience. Due to the vast array of game files dedicated to the new skins, pickaxes, back blings, gliders and emotes, Fortnite community members have been able to dig into the files of the title and discover upcoming cosmetic items that have not yet been announced to be coming to Fortnite.
The latest of these leaks came on Season 4 release day May 1st. TwoEpicBuddies were able to datamine and uncover a whole new set of cosmetic items that would be coming in Season 4 of Fortnite. Recently, Reddit user Joshua51423 posted a video showing off a player in a lobby who was showing off a previously leaked pickaxe and emote from this group that have not been officially released by Epic Games.

The pickaxe appears to the be the 'Tenderizer', while the emote looks to be the 'Freestylin' dance. The identity of the player sporting the two leaked items before release is not known. However, it is highly likely that he is employee of Epic Games, as they would have access to cosmetic items, such as this unreleased pickaxe and emote, that have not yet been made available to the public.
This is not the first time that an unreleased cosmetic item has been seen in Fortnite before it had been announced, as a player was spotted wearing the Brite Bomber Bag in a match lobby before it had become available in the in-game store. The only difference between the case of the Brite Bomber Bag and the Tenderizer pickaxe and Freestylin emote is that the Brite Bomber Bag had not been leaked before being spotted in the battle royale game.
Will you be adding the Tenderizer pickaxe and Freestylin emote to your collection when they finally arrive in the in-game store for Fortnite? Let us know in the comments below!
