Pokemon Let's Go Eevee & Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu Domain Names Registered

Yesterday, we reported on some unconfirmed details about the upcoming Pokemon games for Nintendo Switch. Today, Serebii have tweeted out that domain names for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee have been registered by the same company that Nintendo used to register the official Pokemon Sun and Moon domain names. This lends a lot more credibility to the rumours about the upcoming titles that have surfaced recently.

On the /r/Pokemon Reddit thread discussing the news, /u/KwetiAhtu is hoping for a reveal trailer today, based on the fact that when the Sun and Moon domains were registered, the announcement for them came the day after. /u/Nightynightnight explains that Nintendo reveals usually happen on Thursdays though, so waiting until tomorrow is more likely.

/u/TheSuperAwesomeKAT isn’t fond of the rumors though, saying “there goes all hope for gen 8”, which many players were hoping for with the jump to a brand new platform for the Pokemon franchise. /u/AQuantumCat reckons this will be like when Mystery Dungeon came out for DS prior to Diamond and Pearl, and that Nintendo are going to “warm up” first.

Nobody has any definite details yet, but in a leak we also reported on yesterday, the games do make an appearance in Nintendo’s apparent E3 show schedule, straight after Yoshi’s Flipping Island. It’s important to remember though that these domain names may have just been registered by Nintendo in an attempt to stem false information, so nobody else can purchase them.

One thing almost nobody is hoping for though is the Kanto region simply reskinned with better graphics, but the leaks so far show that may be exactly what we’ll be getting. Likely with some Pokemon GO integration too, given the rumoured names of these titles. Either way, we’re not going to know anything for certain until there’s an official announcement from Nintendo or Game Freak, so all we can do is theorise.
