Overwatch World Cup Committee Voting Now Open
By Zac Cameron ·
With the Overwatch World Cup around the corner, you too can have a hand in picking your countries team committees.

Voting for team committee members for the upcoming Overwatch World Cup has now opened. Blizzard has chosen the twenty-four countries that will battling it out later this year, and community members now have the opportunity to help shape their team’s management. Each country will need to supply a General Manager, Head Coach, and a Community Lead.
For the role of Community Lead, every player from a country that has qualified will be able to vote on who they want to be a rally point for the regional fans, while also marketing their team to a wider audience. Candidates for the United States Community Lead position right now include San Francisco Shock fan Tyler “ShokFanTyler” Winter, and Los Angeles Gladiators social media director Analynn Dang, though it is expected that more will put their names forward in the coming days.
In addition to the Community Lead, fans can also vote on who will become the Coach for their country. Voting on this role is limited to the top 150 players on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and fans can only vote once for each candidate. Candidates for the United States Coaching role are Coach of the Houston Outlaws, Kyle “kyky” Souder, Head Coach of the Dallas Fuel, Aaron "Aero" Atkins, and the Head Coach of the Los Angeles Gladiators, David "dpei" Pei.
The final role is that of the Country General Manager. This role will be selected by Blizzard themselves, so no need to worry about voting for this one. Voting opens today and will run through to the 30th of May. After that, the votes will be counted and the committee members for each Overwatch World Cup roster should be announced on the 31st of May. Once the Team Committees are decided, they will be the ones to pick the roster for their country.
