Original Story

The third edition of the highly popular Friday Fortnite Tournament hosted by YouTuber Daniel "KEEMSTAR" Keem and UMG will be taking place today at 4 PM EST, 3 PM CST and 1 PM PST. With millions of viewers tuning in to last week's edition KEEMSTAR UMG Friday Fortnite Tournament to watch the competitive Fortnite Battle Royale action, there is sure to be just as many, if not more, paying attention to which of their favorite content creators from Twitch and YouTube are able to take home the third KEEMSTAR UMG Friday Fortnite Championship.

YouTubers Typical Gamer and SoaR Thief will be looking to defend their Week 2 KEEMSTAR UMG Friday Fortnite Tournament Championship, while Twitch streamers NICKMERCS and SypherPK will be determined to repeat the success of their Week 1 championship.

This week will once again feature 32 of the most popular content creators from the worlds of Twitch and YouTube competing as 16 teams of two in a double elimination tournament that will see teams fight their way through a winners bracket and a losers bracket if they suffer an early defeat.

Today's KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite Tournament will follow the same UMG ruleset of the past two weeks, which consists of the two teams facing off against one another in a squads game. The duo to collect the most kills in two matches will claim victory. However, if the kill totals of the two teams are tied after two matches, a third match will be played to determine the winner. Teams are not allowed to participate in any activity that may result in the death of their opponents, such as destroying their structures or causing their opponent to miss shots.

UMG will be hosting a centralized stream for the KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite Tournament for viewers to watch all of the battle royale action from. You can find an embedded version of the stream below.

There will be many returning competitors from the past two KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite Tournaments, as the likes of Tyler "Ninja" Belvins, NICKMERCS, Dr Lupo, Timthetatman, Team SoloMid player Ali "Myth" Kabbani, mutiple members from FaZe Clan and OpTic Gaming and others will be looking to defend or claim a KEEMSTAR Friday Fortnite Tournament Championship.

The success of the first two KEEMSTAR UMG Friday Fortnite Tournaments has led to the prize pool of today's event increasing to $20,000, so there will be plenty of incentive for each of the 16 teams to play their very best.

You can view the full bracket for the third KEEMSTAR UMG Friday Fortnite Tournament featuring Ninja, Myth, NICKMERCS, 100 Thieves owner Matthew "Nadeshot" Haag and others on UMG's website.
