By Nicholas Barth ·
Ubisoft's Division 2 was officially revealed at Microsoft's E3 2018 showcase, and the teaser trailer confirmed the setting of Division 2 to be Washington DC.

Today, during the E3 2018 Microsoft showcase, The Division 2 was officially revealed to the world, and it is bringing players to Washington DC as the official setting for The Division 2. The upcoming title takes place seven moths after the events of the first title in the franchise. Players will be tasked with taking control of the Agents and stop a new civil war from engulfing the United States.
The Division 2 will release onto the video game market on March 15th and will be looking to have more success than its predecessor.
Ubisoft and Microsoft also showed off the first gameplay footage of the next entry in the franchise, as viewers were treated to seeing a group of Agents traversing through a heavily vegetated area of Washington DC where the agents meet with a group of survivors and are asked to find medicine. The Division 2 gameplay then shows off the four Agents engaging in a firefight with enemies around the crash site area of Air Force One.
The Division 2 will continue the trend of the first entry in the looter shooter genre with putting players in a major U.S. city that has been ravaged by the destruction that the virus from the first title has caused, as it has spread throughout the entire country.
The gameplay trailer showed off similar features from the franchise's first title, while also showing off plenty of new features and environments that players will be able to experience for the first time in the sequel to the third person looter shooter game from Ubisoft.
