Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Includes Ridley, December Release Date Announced

Today, during the E3 2018 Nintendo press Conference, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced for the Nintendo Switch, and it looks to bring the entire roster of the Super Smash Bros. Universe to the hybrid mobile console with some new additions.

One of these new additions is the Metroid villain Ridley, as the giant creature will be making its debut in the popular fighting game franchise for the very first time. The new character had been rumored to possibly be a member of the Nintendo Switch Super Smash Bros. game, but no official confirmation from the company regarding Ridley had been announced, until today's showcase was shown to hundreds of thousands of viewers.

In addition to the reveal of Ridley as a playable character for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, a release date for the highly anticipated tile was also announced. The new entry in the popular franchise will be available to play on December 7th, 2018.
