The news of the delayed release date for the new content update and event will likely be of great disappointment to the Fortnite community.
Players were excited to try out all of the new content that was shown off during the PAX West 2018 Fortnite Summer Skirmish Series $1,500,000 tournament where official gameplay of the new content for the upcoming event was revealed for the very first time to viewers of the tournament.
Unfortunately, the community for the battle royale game of Fortnite will have to wait one more day than was expected in order to try out the likes of the Getaway LTM and Grappler grappling hook item or adding the Wildcard outfit and other cosmetic items found in the High Stakes event to their cosmetic item collections for Fortnite.
At the time of this writing, Epic Games has yet to state the exact time that the v5.40 content update and High Stakes event will be going live on Thursday, September 6th. We will continue to update this article with more information as it is made available.
