Original Article:

Nintendo announced a 35-minute Nintendo Direct coming on Thursday, September 6, 2018. This Direct will take place at 3 PM PST/ 6 PM EST and is likely to feature several games. But what will they be featuring?

The cover photo for the YouTube video states it'll be about "upcoming Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch titles", so this means we should expect a pretty wide idea of what is actually coming.

For Switch titles, we can assume that Super Smash Bros Ultimate will get some time to shine, considering that is likely to have some sort of character reveal. Additionally, the release of Super Mario Party is October 5, making that a candidate for discussion during the stream. Since Pokemon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee are coming November 16, that's likely to get a new reveal as well, as the videos that have been released feature and show off each Gym Leader. Are we expecting Erica or Sabrina next? Probably so. The only Nintendo 3DS title we can think is likely is the 3DS release of the original Luigi's Mansion coming soon, but Nintendo seems to be moving beyond their now-archaic system.

What we can expect is the Direct to talk about Nintendo Switch Online more, since the online service is supposed to debut this month. This will likely explain the service a little more in-depth and give more details on the Save Data Cloud Backup feature, as well as their release of original NES games. According to their website, there's twenty at launch, but only ten have been revealed so far.

In the mean time, check out the rumors and speculation around who will be revealed in Super Smash Bros Ultimate! Is it Geno? We hope so.
