Shroud on the Current State of PUBG: It Is So Broken

Player Unknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) has been one of the main titles that Michael "shroud" Grzesiek has focused on during his rise from a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) player to one of the most popular streamers on the platform of Twitch. However, the Twitch personality has shifted his stream's focus away from the battle royale title of PUBG recently, as shroud has grown frustrated with various issues in the game that have become a points of concern for the playerbase of the title.

During a recent stream, shroud explained what it would take for him to return to playing PUBG on a consistent basis and his thoughts on the current state of the battle royale title that has lost popularity over the past year, due to the rise of Fortnite Battle Royale.

Shroud PUBG Matchmaking

Shroud has been one of PUBG's biggest supporters with the streamer even having multiple cosmetic items with his branding created for the game.

"I'll probably play PUBG when there is a big serious update. I'll probably give it a shot. Like I'm talking super serious. I'm not talking ranks or whatever. That shit is weird. After playing PUBG yesterday, it is so broken that I'm just gonna wait until hopefully it is either fixed, maybe some big update, I don't know," said shroud in his address to his stream regarding the current state of PUBG.

"But ya, PUBG is really broken right now. Their matchmaking is all f**ked. This is the lowest I have ever seen the player count at this time," shroud continued. "This is the only time I have seen the game in a very long time not peak over a million, and that is not saying anything bad about the game. That is just saying that their matchmaking f**ked."

The possibility of shroud jumping on PUBG once again is looking shaky, especially with the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and its new battle royale game mode of Blackout on Friday, October 12th. During the Beta for Blackout, shroud was an avid supporter of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 battle royale game mode and was one of the title's top streamers during the Beta test.

With the launch of Blackout in a week, shroud may be making a permanent switch to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for his stream if PUBG does not make any major changes to the issues, especially matchmaking, that shroud believes are what is causing the current state of the battle royale title to be of a broken nature.
