Fortnite Battle Royale Cube Island Event Leaked by Dataminers
By Nicholas Barth ·
Dataminers have found files in the v6.10 patch of Fortnite that point to a future event possibly involving a cube island.
Tuesday, October 16th saw the v6.10 patch be implemented by Epic Games for the massively popular battle royale title of Fortnite, While the v6.10 patch brought a great number of changes to Fortnite that players can currently enjoy in-game, the v6.10 patch also allowed dataminers to comb through the newly added files and discover unannounced content for Fortnite. One of these leaks from the v6.10 patch of Fortnite points to a possible future in-game event for the battle royale title that will involve a cube island.
Fortnite dataminer Sudanym discovered a whole list of new game files that deal with this mysterious event and what it may be doing in the future. It would stand to reason that this cube island could be the final form of the Loot Lake island that was created at the beginning of Season 6 by Kevin the purple cube that was the center of the Fortnite community's curious nature throughout Season 5 and could possibly be a middle or end of season event.
Sudanym was also able to extract the sound files from the event files that were datamined from the v6.10 patch for the battle royale game, and they produce a very spooky and ominous feeling.

With the Loot Lake island powered by Kevin the Cube currently making its way around the map of Fortnite, this leaked cube island event could be what Epic Games has planned for its battle royale title when the Loot Lake island reaches its final destination in Season 6. The many runes and smaller pieces of Kevin that have appeared on the map will also likely play a role in what this possible cube island could entail.
However, as with any piece of unconfirmed information that has been leaked, players should not take the cube island event happening as a fact until it is officially confirmed by Epic Games.
