By Nicholas Barth ·
Epic Games has begun to tease what looks to be an in-game event named Fortnitemares that is sure to deliver some spooky content.
With Halloween soon approaching, Epic Games looks to be gearing up for the ultimate Halloween themed event for Fortnite Battle Royale with the developer posting a teaser for a Fortnitemares event on the official Twitter account for Fortnite.
"Costumes and dancing, Partner up, be wise. They could be friendly, Or a ghoul in disguise. #Fortnitemares," stated the announcement post teasing the upcoming event.

No other information regarding the Fortnitemares in-game event was provided by Epic Games. However, due to what looks to be a new skin wearing the hat of Season 6 Battle Pass character Calamity, it is safe to assume that the Fortnitemares Halloween event will be bringing some new cosmetic items to the world of Fortnite.
The teaser post for the Fortnite Halloween themed event of Fortnitemares also suggests that it could possibly be bringing a new game mode to the battle royale that will see players team up and that players may be able to disguise themselves as friendly players to deceive their enemies.
The use of the word ghoul could also possibly be suggesting that the Ghoul Trooper skin that has not been available for purchase since this time last year will be making an appearance in the Fortnitemares event. With Epic Games already bringing back the Skull Trooper skin for the Halloween season, it would not be a great shock to see the Fortnitemares event have the Ghoul trooper make its long awaited return.
The last time that Epic Games employed a Halloween event for Fortnite was last year when the battle royale title was a newcomer to the popular genre and was nowhere near as popular as it is today. With Fortnite now having established itself as a cultural icon around the world, there will no doubt be many more players participating in the Fortnitemares Halloween event this year.
