Toronto Defiant Reveal Two Players for Overwatch League Roster
By Zac Cameron ·
Following the brand reveal earlier this week, Toronto Defiant have revealed two of the players on their new roster for the 2019 Overwatch League season.

One of the newer teams to join the Overwatch League for the 2019 season, the Toronto Defiant, has revealed two of the players that will be making up their squad. In an announcement posted earlier today, the Toronto Defiant have welcomed former Los Angeles Valiant flex tank Lee “Envy” Kang-jae and former Boston Uprising flex support Park “Neko” Se-hyeon to the roster, as the reveals get underway.
Prior to signing with the Toronto Defiant, Envy spent the first two stages of the Overwatch League with the Los Angeles Valiant, before returning to Korea to play in the regional contenders with Meta Bellum. Envy explained on Twitter that the reason for his departure was due to cultural differences between a North American team and a Korean team.
differences between NA an Korea. I was really aggressive for winning and this kinda falsely led to somewhere I did not intend to. Also, I was stressed out throughout stage 1 to 2 and miscommunication caused by the language barrier obviously took part of it. Imo, I tried my best

For his part, Neko spent the duration of the Overwatch League’s inaugural season as a member of the Boston Uprising where they found some success in the latter stages, even qualifying for the playoffs before ultimately being knocked out by the Philadelphia Fusion.
The pair will be joined by head coach Lee “Bishop” Beom-joon, former head coach of the London Spitfire, the eventual winners of the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. Bishop ultimately had to step down from his role midway through the season due to family issues but has returned to lead the Toronto Defiant from here on out.
