By Nicholas Barth ·
A new Fortnite cube event has taken place today, and it has shown the cube beginning to crack and explode while dropping a mysterious item into Leaky Lake.
Sunday, November 4th is when a major one time live event will be taking place in Fortnite Battle Royale that Epic Games states that everything from the rocket launch in Season 4 has been leading to. The major one time live event will be focusing on Kevin the infamous purple cube that has caused major changes to the map of Fortnite from its first appearance in Season 5. However, a new event has taken place today and has seen the cube begin to crack and explode, while a mysterious item has fallen from the cube into the vortex at the bottom of Leaky Lake in the in-game event today.

Popular Team SoloMid streamer Dakotaz was one of the first community members for the massively popular battle royale title from Epic Games to capture footage of the strange activity. In what looks to be a major build up to the one time live show for November 4th, the cube activity today has seen Kevin become near the very edge of completely exploding. You can watch the Fortnite cube event that took place today happen thanks to two videos Dakotaz was able to capture and post to his Twitter account.

At the time of this writing, it is unclear what exactly Kevin dropped into the vortex that is currently sitting at the bottom of Leaky Lake. It is highly likely though that this mysterious item that was created in Fortnite today will be playing a major role in the live spectacle that Epic Games will be implementing on Sunday, November 3rd.
With the Fortnite cube event today having pushed the cracked state of Kevin into overdrive, it is expected that the one time live spectacle for tomorrow will see Kevin completely explode and likely cause some drastic changes to the map of Fortnite that the community has never seen before.
