Virtus Pro Pull Out Of CS: GO
By Zac Cameron ·
The popular organization has had a rough time in Counter-Strike of late and have now decided to withdraw from the scene.

Virtus Pro is pulling out of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive scene, making the announcement earlier today on their website. The Polish powerhouse will not be involved in any competitions until further notice and have indicated that they will make a final decision regarding their current team in the next few weeks.
It's a sad day for us, but we have to go through. Right now our players can't show their best game as a group, it's bad for them, it's bad for us, it's bad for our fans. We will update you on our plans by the end of the year #GOGOVP

“After London Major we were quite optimistic about the potential of the current lineup. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met,” wrote Roman Dvoryankin, Virtus.pro General manager. “The long term strategy for us is to build a competitive team around young players and we will follow it while making decisions. I’d like to ask our fans to be supportive in the next couple of weeks”.
This announcement comes not long after the team failed to qualify for the IEM Katowice Major today, losing to Team Vitality and x-kom in back-to-back best-of-three’s that will see this as the first Valve Major the team will not attend since 2013. The last Major they attended, FACEIT London, also saw the team suffer poor results as they placed last.
IEM Katowice will be the first Major that VP Pros and CS: GO legends Jaroslaw “pashaBiceps” Jarzabkowski and Filip “NEO” Kubski will miss. The teams recent run of poor results hasn’t lost them too many fans overall, due to the popularity of their players, however only time will tell if the organization will make a triumphant return to the scene or decide to place their focus elsewhere in the future.
