Astralis started their tournament as the favorites and showcased that to perfection after dominating the group stage with a clean 5-0 record. The finals themselves would see Astralis lose their first map in the first round, after Natus Vincere proved too strong early on T side. Astralis would ultimately lose the first map, Overpass, 16-7. The second map, Cache, was a chance for Astralis to bounce back and find the victory they were looking for. After a dominating CT side defense, Astralis managed to close out the map 16-9 to level out the score and set up an exciting third round conclusion. The final map, Dust2, was a bit anticlimactic in the end, with Astralis easily holding strong on CT side to establish a 12-3 lead at halftime. When play resumed, Natus Vincere could barely hold on against the rising Danish squad, before the map was finally claimed by Astralis 16-4.
