MIBR Reportedly Set To Sign felps

MIBR is reportedly close to formalizing their 2019 Counter-Strike squad, and the players all seem to have one thing in common: They’re all Brazilian. According to HLTV, Joao “felps” Vasconscellos will reportedly be reuniting with his former SK Gaming teammates on MIBR, in a trade that would see Jake “Stewie2k” Yip joining Team Liquid, and Epitacio “TACO” de Melo and Wilton “zews” Prado joining MIBR.

It was rumored earlier that either Vito “kNg” Giuseppe or Kaike “kscerato” Cerato would be joining the MIBR squad, however Immortals CEO Noah Whinston reportedly killed the deal due to kNg’s previous behavior when playing for the old Immortals squad of Brazilians. As for rookie player kscerato, the deal for his joining apparently fell through when it was revealed that his current team, FURIA Esports, reportedly attached a $200,000 buyout to his contract. This high purchase price combined with his relative experience is apparently what turned MIBR away.

If MIBR can complete the trades for TACO, felps, and zews, then the old SK Gaming squad of 2017 would be officially reunited once again. It would also mean that popular players Tarik Celik and Stewie2k would either be moved to the bench or traded to other teams, though whether this is the optimal outcome remains to be seen.
