The super team is living up to their name after a dominant performance in the opening rounds of the KeSPA Cup.

SK Telecom Make Dominate Debut In KeSPA Cup

SK Telecom is back, and they’re on a mission to once again establish dominance over the competitive League of Legends scene. It’s been a while since we saw the former world champions look dominant on stage, but during the Elimination matches of the KeSPA Cup, they managed to do just that once again.

The new SKT roster looked pretty comfortable on stage as they battled against APK Prince to advance to the qualifying round of the KeSPA Cup. Already looking more in-sync than the previous roster, Faker and friends easily took down APK in just two matches.

The first game saw SKT claim victory in just 26 minutes. While APK didn’t go down without a fight, it wasn’t enough in the end as SKT dominated the field and easily controlled the map. APK were able to get some kills and secure a couple of Dragons though, so at least they proved that SKT can bleed when pressed.

The second match was only slightly longer than the first, as SKT cruised to victory in 28 minutes. This time around APK were able to get more kills than before, but that seemed to come at the expense of map control as they failed to take down a single tower and only managed to claim a single Dragon.

SK Telecom will advance to the qualifier round, where they will face off against either the ES Sharks or bbq Olivers for a shot at the playoffs. After such a disappointing 2018 season, it’s no wonder that SKT is looking forward to bouncing back and once again rising to the top of the pile.
