Riot Is Planning Changes To Crit Items... Again

Long-time players of League of Legends who enjoy playing in the bot lane are probably not going to be surprised by the news that Riot Games is planning to change crit items yet again. It seems that AD Carries face some kind of change almost every year, as Riot looks to try and balance the potential damage a player can output. In an announcement post on the official forums, Riot PhRoXz0n, one of Riot’s Game Designers, outlined some of the changes to the items that they are proposing.

“I’m here to talk a bit about crit items, bouncing some ideas and getting some discussion going,” wrote PhRoXz0n. “The exact details are still in flux; don’t want to get caught up on “this number is too big/small” (feedback is still welcome), but am curious to see what you all think and are excited about (either in this post or not) as well as general thoughts.”

Some of the item changes are simply reverting build orders, which might make some players very happy. Personally, I never really got used to buying two BF Swords when building an Infinity Edge, so reverting the recipe would be my personal choice. It should be noted that none of these proposed changes are locked in and are always subject to change, but despite how annoying it is to see crit items changed yet again, at least it shows that Riot is constantly thinking of ways to balance and improve the game.
