Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Leak Reveals Possible New DLC Characters
By Nicholas Barth ·
A new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leak has possibly revealed the identities of the remaining DLC characters for the popular Nintendo fighting game.
While the base roster for the popular Nintendo title of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features every single character that has appeared in previous entries in the franchise and plenty of new faces, players are still extremely curious to see which new characters will be added to the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by the way of DLC. Joker from Persona 5 was revealed to be the first post-launch character that will be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at the Game Awards 2018. Now, a recently surfaced leak has pointed to the possible identities of the remaining DLC characters for the Nintendo fighting game.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC Character Roster Leak
According to a report by GearNuke, a leak posted on 5channel has alleged that a wide cast of characters that players were likely not expecting will be coming to the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by the way of DLC.
These leaked DLC fighters include the following characters from a wide range of video game franchises.
- Rayman - Rayman Franchise
- Erdrick - Dragon Quest Franchise
- Marine - Doom Franchise
- Ryu Hayabusa - Ninja Gaiden Franchise
- Steve - Minecraft Franchise
The leak suggests that Erdrick, Marine and Ryu Hayabusa will added to the DLC roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in order to help promote new games that each of the character's respective franchises are expected to be releasing in 2019 with DOOM Eternal already scheduled for a 2019 release.
This is not the first time that Erdrick has been at the center of discussion regarding a DLC character roster leak for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, as the Dragon Quest character had been pointed to possibly being a new character in a leak back in the middle of December.
However, as with any leak of unconfirmed information, this DLC character roster leak for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate should be taken with a grain of salt until it is confirmed by an official channel for Nintendo. However, if these leaks ring true, they would cement Nintendo's stance on not being afraid to add any video game character to the roster of its latest hit title.
