RobbaN Steps Down From FaZe Clan Head Coach Role
By Zac Cameron ·
The organization is doing some more roster adjustments in preparation for the 2019 season.

FaZe Clan is making another major change to their Counter-Strike roster, only this time it’s not the players that are being moved around. In a statement released on Twitter earlier today, FaZe Clan revealed that Head Coach Robert “RobbaN” Dahlstrom will be stepping down from the lineup. His decision comes as Dahlstrom desires to focus more on his personal life outside of the game.
In February of 2016, as FaZe Clan first entered Counter Strike, we brought on @FaZeRobbaN as our Coach and he has been instrumental to this day in helping us build Champions.

Today, RobbaN announces he is stepping down as Head Coach. Below is a statement from him.#FaZeUp pic.twitter.com/YPG0QtwYVa
“I became a dad for the second time back in September and the traveling has been very hard for me,” RobbaN said in FaZe’s announcement today. “It has been hard to coach and still be the father I want to be. However, I will still work in FaZe. I will have a different role that I will announce later in January.”
Former coach of MIBR Janko “YNk” Paunovic is rumored to be the replacement for Dahlstrom, with the Serbian analyst-turned-coach spending four months with MIBR before being replaced by Wilton “zews” Prado as the team moved to a full Brazilian lineup.
This move also comes after FaZe’s decision to bench former in-game leader Finn “karrigan” Andersen, who is currently playing on-loan for Team Envy in North America. Right now, Nikola “NiKo” Kovac is the FaZe Clan shot caller, though that could change again when the team brings in karrigan’s replacement, with former Gambit Esports star Dauren “AdreN” Kystaubayev reportedly set to join the team.
