The popular streamer is proving to be unstoppable, breaking in the new year with a new record number of views on Twitch.

Popular Twitch streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins has kicked off 2019 with a bang, revealing that he has crossed 400 Million views on Twitch. By comparison, fellow streamers Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek and Guy “DrDisRespect” Beahm sit at around the 100 to 200 million view mark.

The news comes as Ninja prepares for yet another year of streaming, after quickly becoming possibly the most talked about personality in gaming throughout 2018. Since his partnership with Drake that saw Ninja and Fortnite become the gold standard in terms of viewership, Ninja has rapidly become the face of the streaming platform, being selected to participate in numerous talk shows throughout the year, and even ring in the New Year with a special livestream event.
The success of Ninja is closely tied to the growing success of Fortnite, as the game very quickly became one of, if not the most, played game in the world. With Ninja reportedly earning close to $10 Million in 2018 alone, it seems there is very little left for the streamer to conquer in the world of gaming. If this latest announcement is any indication of the kind of 2019 Ninja can expect, then we very well may be seeing the dawn of a new age of mainstream integration of streaming into popular culture.
