Fortnite Suppressed Sniper Rifle Announced - Coming Soon

2018 saw Epic Games add a multitude of new weapons to its popular battle royale title of Fortnite, and 2019 is shaping up to be no different. Monday, December 7th saw Epic Games announce that a new Suppressed Sniper Rifle weapon would be added to Fortnite in the near future in what will likely be this week's content update. 

Suppressed Sniper Rifle Fortnite

The news of the new weapon coming to Fortnite was made through the in-game news tab for the battle royale title. Players who enjoy taking out their enemies in a stealthy manner will likely be fans of the new Suppressed Sniper Rifle in Fortnite, as the official description for the new weapon states that this particular item will allow players to "strike at their opponents quietly with this suppressed bolt-action sniper!"

Players will now have four kinds of sniper rifles available for use in their quests for Victory Royales with the addition of this new weapon.

However, as with past content updates consisting of a new weapon, Epic Games could decide to vault one of the existing variations of the long range weapon that is currently available in Fortnite and vault it in order to make room for the new Suppressed Rifle. Due to its similar design to the bolt-action sniper rifle weapon that has been in the battle royale game from the very beginning, it would not be surprising to see the Suppressed Sniper Rifle take the spot of the veteran long range weapon. 

Offering a silencer and long range combat abilities, this new weapon will no doubt be a top choice for players to add to their inventories whenever they have the opportunity to do.
