Super Smash Bros Cloud9 Player Mang0 Banned from Twitch

Cloud9 player Joseph "Mang0" Marquez is known as one of the best Super Smash Bros player in the history of the popular Nintendo fighting game franchise. Regarded as one of the Gods of Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mang0 is one of the most popular figures in the Super Smash Bros community. However, the Super Smash Bros. Melee god has been banned from Twitch following an incident on Sunday, January 7th that saw the Cloud9 player and streamer pass out drunk live on stream.

Mang0 Banned from Twitch

The stream by Mang0 in question occurred this past Sunday when Mango was seen celebrating his favorite NFL team in the Philadelphia Eagles secure a 16-15 victory over the Chicago Bears in a NFL Playoff matchup. With the game being a very emotional affair for Eagle's fans due to the last second victory, there were no doubt plenty of fans celebrating their team's victory with a few drinks. Mang0 was one of these celebratory fans and was seen celebrating the Eagle's victory live on his Twitch stream.

Unfortunately for Mang0, it seemed that he perhaps had drank a tad too many alcoholic beverages, as Mang0 looked to have allegedly passed out live on his stream. Mango was gone from his stream for close to three minutes with his stream going offline. The Cloud9 player then returned to his stream and closed it down 10 minutes after returning.

Monday, January 7th saw Mango take to his Twitter account to show that he had received a seven day ban from Twitch due to the "Dangerous consumption of drugs or alcohol."

Following his revelation that he had indeed been banned from Twitch, Mango posted his thoughts on the ban that Twitch had handed down to him stating that he did not in fact pass out drunk and fell over in a joking manner in order to take a break and speak with his girlfriend.

"Last tweet about this ( for now ) For the record.. I didn't pass out on stream.. I jokingly fell over to be funny because I wanted to take a break.. Went downstairs to talk to my gf and came back and ended my stream Drank a lot I knowwwwwww," said Mang0.

While Mango is scheduled to be unbanned from Twitch on Monday, January 14th, fans of the Super Smash Bros player and streamer will likely be saddened by the news that they will be unable to watch Mang0 on Twitch for the next week.
