KEEMSTAR Teases PewDiePie Possibly Playing in Friday Fortnite Return
By Nicholas Barth ·
The popular Friday Fortnite tournament is set to return, and organizer KEEMSTAR has teased the possibility of what many believe to be PewDiePie joining the competition.
Friday Fortnite was a collaborative effort between popular YouTuber Daniel "KEEMSTAR" Keem and online competitive gaming tournament platform UMG that helped to kick start the competitive scene for the popular title of Fortnite Battle Royale. Occurring weekly, the Friday tournaments saw some of the most high profile members of the Fortnite, Twitch and YouTube communities compete for thousands of dollars in a double elimination bracket.
Unfortunately, KEEMSTAR and UMG decided to stop production of the Friday Fortnite series, as the introduction of the Skirmish Series with its million dollar prize pools drew the majority of the competitors to the officially sponsored Epic Games event. Scheduling conflicts and a prize pool cap that Epic Games placed on third party organizers for events were also major factors in the popular tournament series being disbanded.
However, KEEMSTAR recently announced that the Friday Fortnite series would be making a return at the request of the community but has not yet announced a specific date for when it would return will return. The popular YouTuber also has teased the guest appearance of a major YouTuber for the first week of Season 2 of Friday Fortnite with many believing this guest YouTuber to be Felix ‘PewDiePie’ Kjellberg.
The reasoning behind the speculation that PewDiePie will be making an appearance in the first week of the return of Friday Fortnite is an announcement that KEEMSTAR posted to his Twitter account on Thursday, January 10th.
I just got word when #FridayFortnite returns the Biggest YouTuber in the world will be joining us for week 1 Season 2 FRIDAY FORTNITE!

With PewDiePie having the most subscribed to YouTube channel in the world currently, even though the channel of T-Series has given him a run for his money recently, many believe that KEEMSTAR is teasing that PewDiePie will be showing off his skills in the massively popular battle royale title in Season 2 of the tournament series.
While PewDiePie is not known for his competitive skills for the battle royale title, the participation of the star YouTuber would bring in an enormous amount of viewers to the event and would potentially make the first Friday Fortnite tournament of Season 2 the most watched one in the event's history.
