TSM Jungler Grig Benched With Wrist Injury
By Zac Cameron ·
Just weeks before the LCS begins again, TSM's jungler has been sidelined with a wrist injury.

TSM has today revealed that their current LCS jungler, Jonathan “Grig” Armao, will be sidelined for the opening week of the North American LCS following a wrist injury. The news follows an announcement that the organization had picked up a second Academy jungler, and that current Academy jungler Matthew “Akaadian” Higginbotham will be taking Grig’s spot on the main roster for the time being.
We've been working with @TSM_Grig to diagnose and resolve wrist issues, taking every precaution to ensure the long term health of his wrist. Meanwhile, please welcome @FanatiiK_Lol who will be helping our academy team during the spring season as @Akaadian works with our LCS team.

“We’ve been working with [Grig] to diagnose and resolve wrist issues, taking every precaution to ensure the long term health of his wrist,” TSM wrote on Twitter earlier today. TSM’s franchise mid laner Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg has also suffered from wrist problems in the past, as have a number of other League of Legends pro players.
The news hits fans just a couple of weeks before the start of the Spring Split of the LCS and means that TSM will be re-entering the league with only two players from their 2018 season: Bjergsen and AD carry Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen. TSM will make their 2019 debut when the league resumes later this month. You can catch all the action, including the times for the opening matches, on our handy watch guide, here.
