Overwatch Lunar New Year Skins Already Look So Good
By Zac Cameron ·
We're counting down the days until the Lunar New Year event, and Blizzard is teasing some very cool looking skins in the lead-up.

The latest Overwatch event is just a few days away, and Blizzard is already showing off the skins we can hope to unlock when the time comes. The theme this year is obviously centered around the Lunar New Year and features plenty of Chinese influence, and so far the two skins that Blizzard have teased are living up to the hype.
First up is the Lü Bü Reaper, featuring everyone’s favorite black ops leader donning some very fancy armor. This skin looks fairly traditional, with armor likely based off the Han Dynasty general of the same name. Lü Bü has made plenty of appearances over the years in various games, including skins in League of Legends, as well as a starring role in Dynasty Warriors.

Next up is Huang Zhong Hanzo, with our resident bow wielding warrior dressing like the late Eastern Han Dynasty military general of the same name. With his stylish beard, this could very well be a small insight into what Hanzo might look like as he gets older.

We’re expecting to see a few more skins revealed in the days to come, before the main event kicks off on January 24th. This event will also bring back the older Lunar New Year skins and cosmetics, including victory poses, emotes, and sprays, though we’ll probably also see some new ones.
