LEC Showcase Excellent Games As Week 3 Begins
By Zac Cameron ·
The teams of the LEC certainly aren't shy about showing off their new strategies, as week 3 of the Spring Split begins.
Once again, the teams of the LEC provide an excellent start to the weekend with some top-notch games. While not every team could come away with a victory, the real winners here were almost certainly the fans, with some of the most exciting games we’ve seen so far. Here’s a brief breakdown of the games from the first day of week 3 in the LEC.
SK Gaming vs G2 Esports
Another day, another victory for G2 Esports. While there is a lot to say about this team, one thing that can’t be denied is their ability to win games when it counts. For G2, that would seem to be every game, as they strive to reclaim their crown as the best team in Europe.
Splyce vs Schalke 04
Schalke have been going fairly well so far, now sitting at 4 wins and 1 loss overall. Their gameplay could still use some improvements, but then that could be said for pretty much every professional team in League of Legends. Their sights are clearly aimed high this split, so hopefully they can accomplish their goals.
Fnatic vs Rogue
Fnatic fans rejoice! The defending EU LSC Champions and World Championship Finalists have picked up their first win of the Spring Split. Granted, it was against Rogue who are also chasing their first match, but every team has to start somewhere, and there’s no shame in victory.
exceL Esports vs Misfits Gaming
Misfits have been touted as a “Super team” by many, but it’s important to note that just being a super-team doesn’t automatically ensure victory. exceL seem to be managing with the stress of the “big leagues”, so hopefully these new stars will be able to keep going and continue to show off their abilities.
Team Vitality vs Origen
Team Vitality will suffer no fools, and any team that stands in their way will face the wrath of a vengeful team. It’s only a matter of time before they resume their rightful place as the top team in Europe, and no, I don’t have any bias at all when it comes to writing about this team.
Halfway done for the week and we’re already ready for more action. Hopefully the games for day 2 will bring just as much intensity as todays, as the teams of the LEC continue their climb for glory.
