Apex Legends Tier List

Like every competitive game, there are the haves, and the have-nots. Apex Legends, the new battle royale game taking the world by storm, is no different. If you’re looking to sink your teeth into Apex Legends, you may be wondering where the eight different Legends rank on a tier list. While all of the characters are viable in their own way, some character abilities are undoubtedly more useful than others. You'll want to select characters based on your team and your opposition, but if you have your pick of the litter, here's who we think you should choose. 

• S Tier: Wraith

• A Tier: Bangalore, Bloodhound

• B Tier: Lifeline, Mirage

• C Tier: Gibraltar

• D Tier: Pathfinder

• E Tier: Caustic

Wraith tops the list due to her fluid movement which makes it easy to get the jump on opponents. In terms of firepower, Bangalore has the most damage output potential thanks to her ultimate ability, Rolling Thunder. Bloodhound's place near the top of the list comes from his ability to track enemies. Lifeline and Mirage are also solid, and can be crucial when trying to build a well-rounded Squad. At C-tier, Gibraltar isn’t inherently awful, but his shield usage can be limited and his movement speed is somewhat slow.

Meanwhile, Pathfinder and Caustic both need buffs in order to help them live up to their potential. Pathfinder’s yellow ziplines are easy to spot and are only workable during the early stages of the game when hunting down loot and sniping nearby enemies. Towards the end of the match, there’s typically not enough room to properly launch the ziplines, rendering them useless. Caustic is the weakest character not just because of his weak traps, but because he requires currency to purchase, rather than being unlocked from the start. For the time being, save your cash.
