Overwatch League Announces Community Countdown
By Zac Cameron ·
The new preseason to the Overwatch League will feature custom games and community streams, as Blizzard prepares for the 2019 season.

Just a week out from the start of the Overwatch League’s 2019 season, the league is putting together a “Community Countdown” to help get fans ready for all the action. From team scrims, to 1v1 matches, popular streamers will be hosting a series of games where both individual players and full rosters can show off their skills and build up hype for the main event.
We’ve hand-picked Overwatch Streamers to make this Community Countdown something special. #OWL2019

“The start of the 2019 Overwatch League season is almost here, but even elite players need some time to get into regular-season form. This year, instead of a traditional preseason, we’re adding some competitive spice to help get the players on point,” revealed Blizzard in their announcement post. “We’ve put together a series of rivalry-building scrims and some fun custom matches, and you get to watch every moment of it live. And you won’t be alone: we’ve invited a lucky group of Overwatch streamers to get in on the action. Clean streams of these competitions will be provided to hand-picked Overwatch streamers to use—and provide commentary for—on their individual channels.”
You can check out the full schedule of the events, including when they will be played and which teams will be competing, on the official announcement post, here.
