LEC Week Four Begins New Challenges
By Zac Cameron ·
The teams of the LEC are ready to kick off week 4 of the Spring Split.

The LEC has reached week 4 of the Spring Split, and while some of the teams are still going strong, other teams need just a little boost to get them over the line and achieve victory. Here’s a brief breakdown of the games from day 1 of week 4 in the LEC 2019 Spring Split.
Schalke 04 – Misfits Gaming
Schalke managed to find another victory here today, setting themselves up nicely towards the top of the pack in the LEC. Misfits seemed to have control over the game early on, but Schalke turned the tables in their favor in the mid-game before steamrolling their way to victory in the end.
SK Gaming – Splyce
A back and forth struggle between these two teams resulted in a victory for Splyce. Splyce actually took control of the game early on before SK Gaming fought back hard to take a minor lead for themselves. Unfortunately, SK Gaming couldn’t keep control of the match in the end, as Splyce wrested control of the map back and secured their victory.
Origen – Rogue
A fairly easy victory for Origen will certainly give them a confidence boost, though for Rogue this is yet another blow to morale as they chase their first victory of the season. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly where they’re going wrong, which makes the process of fixing their problems all the more difficult.
Fnatic – exceL Esports
Almost a mirror version of the previous game saw Fnatic pick up another win over XL. exceL are also struggling to find their footing, though for Fnatic at least they seem to be able to pick up the win against easier teams. Hopefully they can translate this into more victories down the road.
G2 Esports – Team Vitality
G2 Esports are still on a rampage through the LEC, dominating Vitality to close out the day. It seems crazy to say, but it’s almost like having the best players in their roles on one team might be a little unbalanced? Riot, nerf G2 when?
One more day of games for the LEC in week 4 of the Spring Split, before the teams can relax for a couple of days. Some teams have probably earned a little more relaxation time than others, while at least a couple of teams will need to do some serious work to improve before they can take a break.
