G2 Esports Just Set A New Record For Fastest LEC Game Ever

It was a match that many expected G2 Esports would win, though exactly how strongly they would dominate the map against Fnatic was certainly a surprise for fans. Not only did the undefeated G2 Esports dismantle their opponents to continue their streak, they managed to do so in record setting time as they took down Fnatic in under 21 minutes to set a new record for fastest game in the LEC and EULCS. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.

G2 got the ball rolling with an early first blood in the bot lane before focusing their attention on the Dragon pit, where they were able to secure the first Dragon of the game and another two kills, though at the cost of one of their own. The skirmishes continued for some time before G2 were able to pick up their second Dragon of the match and win a massive team fight that allowed them to take down the first Tower of the game along with almost the entire Fnatic roster.

G2 continued their assault as they claimed two more Towers and the Rift Herald, along with more kills, before pushing for another Tower and their third Dragon of the match. With so much raw power at their disposal, G2 pushed into the base of Fnatic and destroyed several Towers and an Inhibitor, before a final clash game them the win in 20 minutes and 35 seconds, a new LEC and EULCS record.

With such as strong team at their disposal, it’s no wonder that G2 Esports were able to pick up the win today. However, it seems unlikely that Fnatic were expecting quite as badly a loss as they received to close out week 4 of the LEC. They’ll have another shot at redemption next week when they face SK Gaming and Splyce, but even those teams might prove to be barriers to success.
